The Vegan Handmade Bath Soap recipe uses olive oil for breathability, cleansing, and protective properties, coconut oil for hardness and big bubbly lather, sunflower oil for conditioning and lather. Because there is more than 50% olive oil used in the recipe, it is also called a Bastile soap. A partial castile soap. While olive oil is quite cleansing, it does not lather much even when aged. Coconut oil and sunflower oil aid in that department.
The following lists the Herbal Bath Soaps available with their additives. The two not pictured are Pine Tar Bar and Rosemary Comfrey. There were no more slots for pics available.
`Anise Orange is a scented soap with visual appeal. It's a skin loving soap with the pure and simple recipe of the bastile soap with added mango butter for emolliency, activated charcoal, and oils of anise and sweet orange.
`Lavender Fields is made with both the essential oil and tea of lavender which together enhance the fullness and completeness of the aroma! Avocado oil is added for its rich and conditioning properties. Add a sprinkle of dried lavender buds, and you've got a Lavender Fields bath soap!
`Lavender and Roses begins with lavender tea added along with murumuru butter for their skin loving properties. Essential oils of lavender and geranium rose are added for scent providing a earthy herbal rosy scent with staying power. And to make complete the Lavender and Roses soap, fresh dried rose petals and lavender buds are sprinkled on top to provide a built in scrubby.
`Lemon Tree begins with lemon grass leaves tea added along with mango butter and hemp seed oil for their skin loving properties. Essential oil of lemon grass is added for scent providing a lemon and earthy scent with staying power and to make complete the Lemon Garden soap. Poppy seed in half the bar provides a built in scrubby.
`Patchouli is made for patchouli lovers. Additives of hemp seed oil for its emollient properties, dark, aged patchouli for its deep invigorating scent, and green tea leaves for a mild exfoliation make this soap an exhilarating experience.
`Peppermint is an herbal scented soap with visual appeal with added peppermint tea for herbal properties, shea butter for emollient properties, rose clay for gentle exfoliation, and an essential oil of peppermint.
`Pine Tar Bar adds pine tar, 6 1/4% of the batch of oils. It adds a lot of lather to this soap. Emu oil is added for its rich beneficial skin properties. Essential oils of tea tree, rosemary, and basil are added for scent - it helps a lot to tone down the pine tar scent. (Not Pictured)
`Rosemary Comfrey is an aromatic and richly hydrating soap with added rosemary tea, shea butter for its hydrating and emollient properties, comfrey leaf powder which is very demulcent to skin and scented with oil of rosemary. (Not Pictured)
`Spiced Clove, an aromatic soap, sees the same spices we would add to pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon powders are added creating a very dark looking mildly exfoliating soap. Natural spice oils are then added to mimic the pumpkin pie spice scent. I add nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, and ginger oils together and let them blend before adding them to soap. And, what makes this soap quite interesting is that it smells stronger and stronger with time like a pie would.
`Sweet Dreams is a soap with visual appeal, too. Lavender tea is added along with shea and aloe butter for emollient properties, calendula petals for gentle exfoliation, and an essential oil blend of lavender and German chamomile.
`Tennessee Valley Ginseng is an Unscented soap with herbal appeal. It's a skin loving soap with added ginseng tea, hemp seed oil for extra emolliency, and ground ginseng for exfoliation.
`Walk in the Woods is an herbal rich soap starting with eucalyptus tea. Avocado oil is added for its added richness to the soap. Poppy seed gives us a scrubbing action while a cocoa powder swirl gives visual appeal. Oils of cedar wood, cypress, lavender, and rosemary complete it with a woodsy scent.
Packaged as a chunk style (2 7/8"x2"x11/4") @ 4.5 oz. bar with full disclosure label.
Handmade soaps are made to last! If you allow them to dry out between uses, your soaps will last a long time. Placing your soap on a slotted soap dish placed away from the tub when not in use is ideal.
